Sky Cabin in Skykomish- Your Next Washington Getaway!
Don’t have time to read it now? Save it for later!
Winter, in my opinion, is the very best time to head out and rent a cabin in the woods.
There is something about being out of the city, cuddled by a warm fireplace in the middle of the trees that feels so very cozy to me!
There are many beautiful cabins in Washington, but one of my personal favorites sits only an hour and a half from Seattle!
That particular cabin is Sky Cabin in Skykomish, WA
The Sky Cabin Experience
The owners, who are based in Seattle, remodeled the beautiful cabin just a couple of years ago now!
It is one of those lucky cabins that has just as beautiful of an interior as an exterior.
The exterior boasts large windows that look out into the woods and the interior has a lovely fireplace, the cutest kitchen, and two stunning bedrooms.
The master bedroom is up on the second floor and feels very loft-like.
With its clean, white walls, warm wood, lovely pops of yellow and cute plants it has a very modern- bohemian feel to it.
The kitchen is my very favorite part of the space!
They managed to tuck a full kitchen into a cute triangle-shaped area right behind the living room. They even added a lovely modern chandelier to warm it up.
In the living room, the floor-to-ceiling windows flood the entire cabin with bright light and makes any day a cozy one!

Nearby Adventures to Sky Cabin!
Bridal Veil Falls and Lake Serene: Definitely more of a summer hike, this medium intensity hike takes you up to a stunning alpine lake.
On the way up you pass Bridal Veil Falls, a wonderful waterfall that is a destination in and of itself.
Wallace Falls: Another wonderful waterfall hike!
This one is a relatively easy hike to a stunning, lush waterfall through the fern covered forest.
Eagle Falls: Not a true hike but it is a great swimming hole in the summer!
Be careful about jumping in too early in the season though as the water is icy cold and it can have an insane undercurrent.
Stevens Pass Skiing: Stevens Pass is one of the most popular ski resorts in WA! I personally have not gone to the resort here- mostly cause I don’t ski lol but I know tons of my friends love it!
Climbing at Index: Some of the best climbing in WA is right down the road! While this isn’t the best place for beginners or bouldering, this is a wonderful spot for people who want to get out on ropes and feel comfortable leading routes and multi pitches!
Scenic Hot Springs: A wonderful hot spring up at Stevens pass! This hot spring is privately owned and you need to make a reservation before you go, but it is definitely worth it!
You can snowshoe there in the winter or hike on up in the summer to enjoy a lazy day soaking and enjoying the views.
