Don’t have time to read it now? Save it for later!

Are you looking for the best place to stay near Glacier National Park? You’re not alone! Whenever I start thinking about planning a trip the first thing I do is start searching for where I should stay.

There are usually an endless amount of options- some amazing and some not so great. While exploring Montana I had that same question- “where is the best place to stay near Glacier National Park?”

I honestly didn’t even think my boyfriend and I would need to stay in a hotel- normally we car camp but when the first two days of our trip predicted non-stop rain we decided it may be time to splurge- and wow am I glad we did.

We ended up staying at a hotel called Wonderstone– it is a brand new hotel and I cannot wait to share it with you!

The Wonderstone Experience

Wonderstone is a beautiful boutique hotel (a smaller design-focused hotel that isn’t usually a part of a chain)

Walking into their lobby you can immediately tell all of the efforts that went into creating the stunning modern-mountain style that flows through the entire space.

Following the hardwood floor hallways up to our room I stopped to take in the beautiful photographs they had hanging up on the walls- it’s almost as if your favorite Montana Instagrammer had a gallery in a hotel hallway.

Stepping into our room I was in awe of how spacious the room was.

With furniture from stores like West Elm, CB2, Anthropologie, and Lulu & Georgia you can instantly tell they had brought in an Interior Designer with wonderful taste. The modern furniture is accented by stylish black metal and splashes of rustic, mountain-inspired patterns. A little retro mini fridge even sat in the corner- stocked with local Montana beer (free of charge!)

Where Is Wonderstone Located?

Wonderstone at Glacier is a boutique hotel only 11 miles from the West Glacier Entrance. It is situated in the town of Columbia Falls and is only 10 miles from Whitefish. It was the perfect location!

In Columbia Falls you have access to grocery stores, cute coffee shops, and breakfast places. My favorites are Montana Coffee Traders and Oddfellows Cafe!

Only a bit farther away in Whitefish there are cute boutique clothing shops, trendy breakfast spots, and nice parks to hang out at!

What Amenities Does Wonderstone Have?

Wonderstone is your basic boutique hotel, it has a beautiful lobby, tea & coffee station, and stunning design!

While Wonderstone doesn’t have a ton of other large amenities like a pool or hot tub it does make up for it with carefully chosen skincare and haircare products, large, spacious, and well-designed rooms as well as insanely comfortable beds and linens.

What Types of Rooms Can You Book At Wonderstone?

Wonderstone has all of your basic room types: King, Queen, and Double Queens along with balcony and ADA options!

In addition to these rooms, they also have a brand new bunkhouse- hostel-style! Individual travelers can book out one-bed space and have access to two private custom-tiled showers and restrooms! All of these options easily makes Wonderstone the best place to stay near Glacier National Park!
